What is Bioavailability?
Bioavailability, in this instance, refers to an amount or percentage absorbable into the human body. Regular CBD products, in example, oils, are not effectively absorbed into the human body, because it does not dissolve well in water. Regular CBD is also unstable in humans’ stomach acid. As a result, only about 6% of ingested regular CBD oil ends up in the bloodstream.
This means it has a bioavailability of 6%. Thanks to the Nanotechnology in Nanozomal™ CBD+, the product is a nanoemulsion, providing levels of bioavailability and effectiveness that far exceeds that of regular CBD oil. Nanozomal™ CBD+ products have a bioavailability of 90%. This means Nanozomal ™ CBD+ has a faster onset of action compared to regular CBD oil and as a result, it is 15 times more effective.
What is Nanotechnology?
Nanotechnology has been developed to improve the delivery and efficacy of poorly water-soluble medicines, and to protect them from acid in the digestive tract. When applied to regular CBD, Nanotechnology can incorporate regular CBD oil into a CBD nanoemulsion to improve the poor solubility and absorption of regular CBD. In the process, regular CBD is mixed with an aqueous (water-based) solution containing phospholipids (also a major component of all living cells). Once the stable emulsion is formed, a high-pressure technique is used to break the droplets into tiny spheres called nanoparticles. This renders the CBD oil effectively water soluble and highly absorbable, providing higher bioavailability and therapeutic effect with a faster onset of action compared to regular CBD oil.
